Coffee’s been a staple of ranch life for as long as the cowboys of the Old West have been riding. That’s why at Rohrer Manufacturing we love providing ways to get you back to the good old days. There’s nothing quite like the authentic taste of making hot brew in the outdoors. That’s right, we’re talking about campfire coffee.

This outside way of life is rough, and there’s something about a hot cup of Joe in the morning that gets a rancher going. Trust us, we know! Whether you’re pounding fence posts into the rocky Ozark soil or on a rugged excursion in the mountains, here are a few simple and easy tips to making your favorite morning brew outdoors, (Even if you’re only going camping). Ready?

Things you will need:

  • Coffee grounds
  • Water Kettle
  • Fire
  • Coffee Cup
  • A spare sock

Trivia bit: Did you know that Cowboys used their socks as filters for coffee grounds? Let’s hope they were clean socks, but as they say, necessity is the mother of invention!

Bring the water to a boil, toss in the coffee grounds (contained in a clean sock) and steep off the boil for four minutes. Serve a strong cup of brew and take in the rugged scenery!

This is one of many tips we love providing to keep you in the saddle and working hard! Work ethic is king in this industry and we think that just squeaking by isn’t good enough. As a supplier of efficient post drivers that are tough as nails, we like to offer you with simple tips to keep your wheels greased and turning!

We hope you try this recipe and tell us what you think! Like the Man Saver Post Driver Facebook Page for more exciting updates and tips on how to live the best kind of life: the ranch life!
